I have 2 payday loans on my credit report - PaydayMax and Instant Loan Today. Are they allowed to post that on my report? I thought I remembered reading they were not allowed to. If they are not, what can I do about it?

It depends on what state you are located in. In some states Internet payday lenders are prohibited, in other states it is required the lenders be licensed in that state. If you are in a state that requires those lenders to be licensed, and they aren't then you can easily dispute it on your credit report. On the other hand, if you are in a state where Internet Payday Lenders are legal and licensed, then yes, they can legally make negative reports.

I am in Michigan, are either of these legal in Michigan? Both have gone to Collections - National Credit Adjusters. If they are not, how do I dispute?
