I deperately need some help...I've gotten myself into some deep trouble.. I have so many payday loans out there, feel like I can't breathe anymore... I know we're all in the same boat right now, but really, I don't know what to do. I'm an honest person, just having a difficult time making ends meet. I want to do the right thing, but feel like I can't make a dent with all the interest and fees I'm paying. They try to debit my account, and I've paid so many insufficient funds fees that I can't see straight right now. Can anyone please help? I just don't know what to do! Any comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

We need to take this step by step and try to figure out what to do to get your finances back under control. First I am going to post a link to your state payday loan laws. Below.

Utah requires an Internet lender to be licensed in your state in order to lend to Utah residents legally. I don't think any of yours are but you really should double check on that. Click the link below to view the Utah licensee data base.

The first thing you need to do is close out your account, asap! Open a new account at a totally different bank if possible. All you need to do is pay back these lenders the principal amount you borrowed from them to begin with, deduct any fees or payments they have already taken out, subtract it from the principal amount you borrowed and that would be the balance you owe them. They will all disagree of course, but we don't care because your state law prevails. :D Don't give out your new account number to any of these lenders, I will give you a link which will guide you step by step on how to deal with them from here on out. CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders. Keep checking back for more replies. If you should have any further questions try to keep all of your information in one thread for easy referral.

Thank you so much... I'm feeling like I can breathe a little easier already. I looked at the link to see if these online lenders can do business in Utah, and only 1 out of can. I'm not surprised though... they take advantage of people in need. I'm going to use the letter thatyou gave me a link to and get them to stop harrassing me and see if I can get them to refund me the outrageous fees and interest rates I've been charged. I'm beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel. I know it will be a long road ahead, but thank you... I will definitely look at all of the resources you've given me. I will also give updates nd hope that we can all help one another. I will check back often. Thanks again!

Hi there and welcome. Would you mind starting a new topic with the following information, then you can keep all your information in one place and it will be less confusing, plus it will be easier for you to refer back to your own thread.
-Names of each pdl company.
-Whether they are store front or Internet.
-How much you borrowed.
-How much you paid so far.
-The state in which you reside.
Thanks!!
