I am so happy I stumbled on to this forum. I am in PDL hell-- and I need help. I can't believe I have been this stupid... Below is a list of PDL companies, the amount borrowed, and the amount paid back. I have listed internet and stor front. I am in Ohio. Thank you in advance for your help!

Internet loans--

CashNetUsa-- 1250 borrowed-- due to be taken out next Friday.
Collect 500- borrowed 500- paid 925.00
Integrity- Borrowed 500- paid 1325.00
Nationwide- borrowed 300- paid 924.00
Southern- borrowed 200- paid 650
Northway- borrowed 425- 560 due to be taken next Friday
CashJar- borrowed 500- paid 1300.00
Sure Advance- borrowed 300- paid 675
Goverment Employee Credit- borrowed 500- paid 957.00
Payday loan- borrowed 200- paid- 625
CK Marketing- borrowed 500- paid 1,300
East Side Lenders- borrowed 300- paid 625
Payday 1 -borrowed 200- paid 525

Store Front--

Check Smart- owe 918.00
First Advaance- owe- 725
Cashland- - owe 525

All of the store fronts are due next Friday. I have closed my account--- and we have opened a new account with a dfferent number. Our Credit Union has been great about this. I have ach payments that will be rejected next Friday. Scares me to death-- what will happen next! Can you help me determine who is legal from and internet standpoint?? And-- is there any payment options for the store front lenders???

It's important that you use the correct name for these lenders, I will provide a link at the bottom of this post where you can search for a license yourself, but I believe only Cashnetusa is legal and licensed, though they usually extend loans as a credit service organization, which means they wouldn't be required to follow the payday loan laws. Other than that lender, if the names are correct, then they aren't licensed. You did the right thing closing your account, I will return shortly with more information, meanwhile, CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.

WOW! This makes me sick. I have lost such track of my finances, that I had to research some of these lenders-- for the correct names-- and not just the names they are using to take out the ach deposits. Here is a better list of names-- all have been paid the originial amount of the loan.

Pay1Day.com
Zip19.com ( Northway)
Idealgelt.com
Tremont Financial
Cash Jar
Eastsidelenders
CK Marketing ( formerly Payday online)
Cashnetusa- ( already addressed)
Nationwidecash.com
Collect 500
Payday-loan-yes.com

I am so embarrassed...

Don't be embarrassed, we aren't here to judge anyone, besides, most of us have walked in your shoes, so we understand. I was right, Cashnetusa is your only legal lender, read the link I gave you on how to deal with illegal lenders, you should be fine, take care of your licensed lenders first, forget the illegal ones for now, you can work on those later.

Well, letters are sent via email. Most of these places don't give you physical addresses. The don't waste any time--- I got a threatening call today from Zip19. He said someone was on their way to my house with a warrant for my arrest.

On another note-- a store front lender - Chack Smart has been nothing but accomodating. Very easy to work with.

What should I expect, from the list above??? How aggressive do you think they will get??

Well, let me put it this way, they are so mean they wouldn't think twice about threatening to take your first born, however, the less you talk to them, the better off you will be, all they want is someone to argue with, don't give them that. On the other hand, keep one thing in mind, they are so stupid that they would try to burn an ice cube.

Below is a response to my email to Eastside Lenders... Thoughts????

East Side Lenders is responding to your correspondence regarding the above-captioned account.
East Side Lenders, which is located in Delaware, is licensed by the State of Delaware to make small loans. All such loans are approved and funded in Delaware, with repayment to be made in Delaware. The East Side Lenders loan agreement and website contain all disclosures required by Delaware and federal law and make it clear that all transactions are governed by Delaware law. On the advice of counsel, East Side Lenders maintains that the choice of Delaware law as controlling in the loan documents would be upheld, as all of the significant contacts in the loan transaction occur in Delaware. The loan agreement is legal and enforceable. In responding to your correspondence, East Side Lenders notes and reserves all available legal and equitable objections to the points you have raised.
East Side Lenders provided this service as a convenience to you. We still consider your loan to be outstanding and are prepared to go to arbitration as provided for in the Loan Agreement between us. As an alternative, if you are experiencing financial hardship, we will be happy to speak to you about payment arrangements through which you can successfully meet your payment obligations. East Side Lenders will consider doing so because of our continuing commitment to servicing our customers and not because of a legal obligation to do so.
Should you have any further questions regarding this matter, if you wish to speak about payment arrangements, please contact us at (800) 689-5603.

Respond to them like this:

Please note I am not a resident of Delaware, have never prescribed to be a resident Delaware and have no Delaware presence, as such am not subject to the Delaware laws you detail, my state law prevails.

First dont be embarrassed I was i your shoes 6 months ago. The people in this form are amazing. i live in Ohio too. Cash Net Usa wil work with you. But you must file complaints against sure advance, GECC, East Side, and Ideal Gelt. File with th BBB and the Ohio attorney Generals office. have received Paid in full letters from all of them except Ideal Gelt im still dealing with them. The cannot arrest you or do any of the nonsense they say remember these are illegal loans. If i can help you with anything just let me know. Its scary at first but trust me its so worth it.

For what it is worth, I had a loan with collect500, they were slow to answer, had to send the letter several times, but they finally responded...and I GOt A REFUND! keep your head up, you are on your way to getting things straightened out. I was scared and nervous also, but it worked out fine in the end.
good luck with everything.

I am VERY thankful for this forum.I can't tell you how much help you all have provided me. I currently have PDL's with the following companies:
ZIP19
CK Marketing
Brighton Financial
Redstone Fast Cash
Loan Shop "Daytona"
Any assistance you could give me would be much appreciated. I can't get out of this rut. I am beyond embarrassed and am thankful for a non-judgmental group forum like this where people get REAL assistance and a place to vent about PDL.
Thank you for all you do to help.

MOD NOTE...why are you responding to a thread that is over a year old???

No they cannot. I contacted a company called Blue Ridge Law Group. they helped me out tremendously. The first thing they do is email you info to take to your bank. As a consumer it is your RIGHT to stop payment on any ACH automatic withdrawls from your account according to Regulation E Section 205.10 you just have to notify your bank and give written confirmation in the form of a stop payment order.
You can contact Blue Ridge at 877-410-0029 they are located at 18300 Von Karman Ave Suite 800 Irvine CA 92612. They work with you to determine which lenders are legal or illegal.
I also have a loan with CK Marketing and they are helping me tremendously.
Good luck to you.

MOD NOTE...Did you just post above for help and then post Blue Ridge Info?? You a shill?? You sound like you work for them,.

PDL are a living nightmare. I have to close my account, cancel my direct deposit and basically start over again because of the PDL I had. I had 4 and so far I have paid them in excess of $1,500.00. RIDICULOUS!! So I did a cease and desist letter, contacted my bank (not as helpful as I would have liked considering...) and I'm basically waiting to see what will happen next. I have asked for a "hard block/deposits only" on my account to prevent unauthorized ACH transactions. I was basically told there was nothing I could do since I signed an agreement with them. I basically told them now I am "un-agreeing" and I would like a block to prevent them from getting into my account...again and again. I was told my an Assistant Manager that I need to "beat them to the punch" on payday and just take it out before they get to it and just worry about the overdraft fee when it happens.....(can u believe it). I'm frustrated by unrelenting in this process. I just want this to be over. I want my life AND my bank account back. This was an expensive but valuable lesson.
Frustrated by PDL's.

Have any of you heard of a thing called, "Intent to defraud"? Do you also know that check writing in many states can be considered a "Felony", and can be prosecuted as such! Basically, all of you think that you can just write a check and be rendered the cash and not have to pay it back to whomever lendt you the money. Well, "WRONG ANSWER"! Stand by, because I have just started my own collection company, and is "Reputable and following every strict guideline that has been set forth in the covenant of check writing". I will be ENFORCING every single account that comes into my office, and I will NOT wait for months to do so either. I understand all of us fall on hard times, I too, have been caught up in this cycle, but doing it for the purpose of free money, is WRONG, and I will see to it that it is STOPPED in my company and state!

Well concerned 2012 why don't you tell us what state you are from, the name of your business and where you got your license from to be able to collect on any loans? As far as I am "concerned" your condescending tone does not scare me. Just make sure that your company dots all of its I's and crosses all of its T's otherwise your company will be paying alot of money out to those people whom you would be attempting to collect on. On that note have a nice day! :D
