I'm fighting a few (8) internet payday loan companies about their legality. I'm in payday loan hell and have sent cease and desist letters to them. So far, they have complied except for payday loan yes/fast cash, which responded saying the contract is based on the state of the lender. Just because the contract says so, is that justifiably legal or are they just trying to scare me? I am willing to pay what I owe, but I don't want to be taken advantage of.

Moving this to the pdl help fourm....

They are just trying to scare you. PDL Yes is not licensed anywhere....The laws go by your state. What state are you in and maybe we can point you in the right direction to ge these guys off your back....Just so you know, it has been 18 months since I got out of pdl hell, had 9 pdls on the internet and this is the only one who I have dealt with CA after CA in reference to this co....I am on the sixth.

ewhit, all internet lenders are illegal in the state of MA. File complaints with the FTC, BBB and your Attorney General's office, these lenders should NOT be offering loans to MA residents when it is prohibited.

Just keep telling them they are illegal in your state. They will do everything they can to get you to pay them. If they call...respond in writing, try not to talk to them. Also, if I remember correctly, they will email you to death....just keep replying to the emails with the same statements. Eventually they will stop.

Yes, yes, yes!!!! Your best bet is to close your account. However, if this is not possible, have them place a hard debit block on your account. Also read this....

they will not stop debiting until you cut off their access to your account...... Do not place individual bolcks bcuase they will send a paper check through. They will do whatever they can to get their money.
