I had loans with the companies: 500fastcash.com. osl/ssm marketing, oasis1, and a few others. I was told these are illegal payday lenders and that i am not obligated to pay anything back to them. They might be operating outside the US and even if I paid them back, they could still debit my acct. Was wondering if I ignored these companies, would they send the collectors after me or can they do anything? I heard they use intimidation tacticks to get people to pay, etc...... Can anyone help??

Welcome! In order to get a true picture of where you are at so we really can help you, we need to know the following information:

what online lenders you have loans with and for how much.

How much you have paid back each lender, counting all rollover fees.

This way, we can tell if you've overpaid the loans. What we advise everyone to do is only to pay back what you've actually borrowed, which would cover the money you had use of. In order for a lender to be legal in your state, they must have a business license, and we've found in most cases, internet lenders don't have one--so it would be important to find out what state you are living in as well.
