For some reason the site won't let me log on, but I was wondering:
Do I need to send a notice of intent to a company if I am going to file a complaint against them? I've told them twice to send me the information on my account in writing (via email), or I was going to complain, and twice they've tried to dodge around it with one reason or another.

You will get more attention from the places that you are filing the complaints against once you file them. I wouldn't even give them a chance. They have heard that before so unless you actually do file the complaints with the BBB, FTC, DFI they will handle and investigate your complaints, they aren't going to work with you, until they are notified by those agencies.
