Hi guys,

I have a loan with these guys for $300 and to date, I have paid them $120 (in rollover fees)...So, since I closed my old account, the payment to them from my last pay date bounced. (I had sent them several e-mails asking for my loan documents, but of course they never responded.)

After the payment bounced, I received an e-mail from them attempting to make other arrangements to pay off the balance of $360. So, I send them an e-mail in return stating my state's laws, and requesting the same information I had asked them for 3 times in the past (loan documents, their address (so I can look them up even though I'm 99% sure they're not licensed, they seem very evasive, I couldn't even get a phone number.)

So today I received 4 calls (2 hang ups on my voice mail). The first time I spoke to a woman, and she was very nice, but I explained to her that I request that they do not contact me by mail, and I sent them e-mail requesting info. She agreed. And long behold, an hour later, I receive another call. This time I told the woman the same thing (she claims there were no notes in their system about no phone calls-yeah right). She also said they haven't received any e-mails yet. How much you want to bet I'll receive another phone call in a little while?

They were nice but I'm not expecting that to last for long.

What's up with these people? I'm sure they'll call me back again, at which point I am going to ask for their address, and fax number.

These calls SUCK!

When they call, state AGAIN they are not to contact you via telephone, only via email or USPS. But, add to your conversation - "Could you please tell me what name and license number you are operating under?" That'll get them! Usually they hang up with that question. :D

jen, do you have an email address for them? If so, every time they call, send an email stating not to contact you via telephone, only via email or USPS. I did this to every one of my pld's. Each call, I sent an email. If you do have an email, do this.

Oh, Kash that is TOO funny! I'm afraid I will be fired if I try that at work though! LOL I love the idea!

Cann, I am going to see if they call today, at which point I will bombard them with questions. They kind of caught me off guard yesterday, so that is why I was so unprepared. I have e-mailed them several times though.

Keep it up, jen. Flood them with emails. And, I'm hoping to God they call you today so you can let us know thier license number they are operating under! LOL!

Good news is no phone calls (YET) from these guys after my last conversation with them. Bad news is, I was looking at the "loan documents" and they look IDENTICAL to the MTE documents that I have from United and Oneclick. This CANNOT possible be another MTE company can it??? Please God no.

Luckily I see no wage assignments in the documents.

But I am having no luck getting them to respond to my e-mails. I have sent 5 so far, and I'm sure they are still claiming that they "haven't received any of them". I don't have a fax number, and when I tried to call to get one, they want my name, and all this info. So, I'm kind of confused as to what to do next...

jen, same letter format? Same identical "design"? Same thing on the documents? That's how I discovered mine were MTE. I compared all the documents. If it's another MTE, I'd LOVE to know.
