We have not paid anything due to our benefits being taken from overdraft fees. The account is in danger of being closed. i do not want to be arrested.

Who hacked your account?? If charges are unauthorized/not yours, your bank has to refund you....you do not have to pay for account protection to get this money back. You will not be arrested. You should have stopped your benefits from going into that account....get into the bank tomorrow morning and talk to a manager. Who the hell do you bank with???
I went thru some of your lenders.....you can go thru the rest of the list. If they are storefront, they are legal. If they are tribal they are not.

On my statement it had
On my statement it had strange numbers beside the transaction. When I questioned the bank Wells Fargo they said that they could not tell me where the transactions came from but it came from my debit card. But because I did not set up protection with a way to save account I am held liable because I have no proof to dispute the transactions. I those purchases was not made by me or my husband. I requested my benefits to be stopped from going to that bank in Mid March. However, the local social security office said that to change where your benefits are going you have to make the request in the beginning of the month. So starting in May my benefits will be going to my government supplied debit card. I have also spoke with my bank to revoke ACH and they said I would have to pay 27 dollars per lender to stop them. I asked how can I do that when my account was overdrawn from NSF charges and overdraft fees. I have been charged nsf charges at least twice from each lender. The other ones are store front. I am just confused. should I go through debt settlement program or is there a way I can get through this?
