Can anyone tell me if since I am a resident of the state of New Jersey if ANY of the 4 payday loan companies I have had loans with are legit or legal? MyCashNow, 500FastCash,US FastCash, PlainGreen.

Any advice would be appreciated as I am writing revocation letters right now. Account already closed.

I think MCN not going out of their way as something is weird w/them. Went to give my new into to THEM b/c Ive dealt w/them forever w/o incident and they DID NOT WANT my info and passed me on to Silver River Management. I never got through so just sending my letter to them as well.

Doing best I can w/these letters as Ive had a previous loan w/all companies and demanding the interest paid on that loan be applied toward a balance due on principal on 2 of my loans and the other 2 or more than paid off when just calculating principal and they owe ME a refund, which i doubt i'll get but it's worth a try and to get them off of my tail.

Thank You to whomever reads this!
:)

First off, welcome and register with the forum so that you can see answers to your posts. You are in luck, payday lending is illegal in the state of NJ. This means you are only morally responsible for paying back the original amount of principle borrowed, nothing more nor less. On this site, click on the sticky on how to deal with unlicensed lenders, follow every step, do not skip. Keep us posted and remember we are here to help.

Here is the link to make it easier to find - http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/dealingwith-illegallenders.html

How much did you borrow from each and how much repaid to date? And very important to register with the forums - makes it so much easier to find your questions and answers..

I live in NJ too. I had a Plain Green loan, paid the principal and asked for a refund. Not sure if I will ever get one, but did receive a Paid in Full letter, with the usual we are a Native American lender...yadda yadda yadda, so we will close your account. Go to the State of NJ Banking and Insurance department. You can file a complaint online. Do it, the more they get, the more they will fight for all of us. I've talked to their office a couple of times, and are extremely nice, told me to ignore the calls and not pay another cent.

Good luck
