Payday lending is prohibited in NC. You owe principal only. No need to pay them an extra dime other than the principal. Close down your old bank account and open a new one. Ask them for a refund, if you have overpaid them.

Please be aware that this is a St. Vincent company, St Vincent and the United States are both parties to the General Agreement on Trade in Services, a treaty which specifically permits companies in one country to make consumer loans to citizens of the other.

Under the treaty, we are only obligated to follow the federal laws of the United States. We are not required to obtain state licenses and individual state laws do not apply since the federal laws adopting this treaty supersede any state's laws on the subject.

Please cite the regulations of the treaty you refer to as they pertain to citizens of the United States, as well as those governed by North Carolina state law. I would like to forward that information to the office of North Carolina Attorney General, Roy A. Cooper, for his review.

First time in months that I was able to get a good night's sleep.

mycashnow was sent a notice that they owe me $$ and their balance would not be paid. Tried unsuccessfully to ACH my account. Thanks to my bank they were unsuccessful! If they don't respond, I am going to file complaints everywhere. May not get my $, but I will feel a lot better.

Thanks to everyone here - I have my life back.

mycashnow - after unsuccessfully trying an ACH withdrawal of $1400+ AFTER receiving my revocation, they have decided to close my account as PIF but refuse to pay back interest of $3000. I am now filing claim with AG, FTC, etc. - not letting them get off that easy.

Cash Call (formerly Western Sky) - still getting the tribal law crap, but continuing the battle. Got a call from their collection arm IP Communications 702-95305486 yesterday. But not doing anything until an agreement is reached on balance.

Great Plains - agreed to apply all interest to balance and will accept payment of the balance remaining. Yeah, one for the little guy.

Plain Green Loans - agreed to apply all interest to balance and will accept payment of the balance remaining. Yeah, another one for the little guy.

Advanced Me Today - agreed to apply all interest to balance and will accept payment of the balance remaining. Yeah, another one for the little guy.

usa money shop - sent ACH revocation, but haven't gotten a response. not a peep. not doing anything with this one until they respond.

Overall, other than a few calls from some guy with a thick accent claiming to have a sheriff at my door within 24 hours (what a hoot), things have been relatively quiet.
