Getting back interest paid
Date: Mon, 02/28/2011 - 09:47
Unfortunately I have gotten myself into a bad situation with multiple PDL's. This is so shameful and I haven't told anyone not even my husband since I've had myself convinced that i can handle them and pay them back but one led to two, three and now i have 5 all internet. Fortunately, I am now in a position to pay them off with my tax refund and still actually have money left over to catch up on other bills. They will be paid off on 3/4 as i do not plan on rolling them over. My question is- once they are officially paid off and acknowledged as such by each company, is it at all possible to get my interest back? They are all internet based lenders and I've listed them below. It sickens me to think of the money i've paid out to them, all the money i've paid to my bank for bouncing debits b/c i couldn't keep up. I cannot wait to feel the burden lifted and if i can even get some of the interest paid back i'll be on my way to securing a savings so that i can never get into this trap again. I've paid interest only on almost all of them since around october (except VIP and Everest- those were just taken in January as a means to keep up with the others, lesson learned how stupid!) I can also post how much interest i have paid for each if this is needed.
Thanks in advance!!
Cashdirectexpress (GECC) $400.00
JVC lending $300.00
VIP loan services $500.00
Everest cash advance $400.00
Redstone cash $200.00

Thank you! Once i have PIF letters, would you recommend i send letters out to each company advising of their illegal activity and the specific amounts overpaid- and that they send me a cashier's check for this money owed? I am not sure if it is still necessary to close my account once they are paid in full but i don't want to jeopardize anything. sadly i have dealt with them all before as i got into this mess previously but once they were paid i never had any issues. This is the end of my PDL hell and i will never ever recommend this route to anyone.
