1800899cash issues!!! ugh!

After having a rather nasty conversation with a rep for 1800899cash they threatened to call my employer telling them what I had done, then they also threatened to sue me and so forth. I tried to make arrangements that I could afford at the time, and they refused them.
After researching them, I contacted my bank commissioner for the state of kansas and they are not licensed here at all and they would investigate further. i informed 1800899cash of this and they said that they didnt have to be that they were federally licensed and that federal law trumps state law (wow... any high school kid should know thats not true lol) so i hung up on her after she wouldnt listen.. and then she calls me back TWICE. And I know according to the FDCPA they cant do that either! After that I check my email and I have a nasty letter from them saying that they are turning it in to their in house attorney since they havent communicated with me at all.
I am wondering who all has had this happen to them? And what did you do? How do you get them to stop?

Now you have an evidence against them since they sent you the email. File complaints with your states' Attorney generals' office and check out with your phone service provider if they can block the number. Illegal companies can do nothing against you.

By the way, the FDCPA does not apply to the original creditor, only 3rd party collectors.

No, not at all. The problem is, illegal lenders never followed the law to begin with or they would have obtained the proper licensing, so the chances of them following any law is slim to none. Just make sure your employer knows that you are a victim of a scam and have no control over incoming calls, do file complaints though, that way you can let your employer know you are doing everything within your power to stop this from happening.

Oh yes, we always advocate paying back what you borrowed, it's just the right thing to do. However, I wouldn't pay them any more than you borrowed, they aren't entitled to collect interest and fees, they did not obtain the proper licensing required to do so.

Honestly, they would be cutting their own throats if they actually had the nerve to walk into a court room, as they have no legal ground to stand on.

thank you all sooooooooooooooooooooo very much! i read a little bit of the thread shazzers, with the letter, but with the way they act i just see them laughing in my face. i did contact the bank commisioner again today and they are investigating it and it can take some time. i did a little searching today and found a cease and desist order from a california state judge telling them no more in CA as they are not licensed there.
I overpaid on the first loan by almost 100$, so that will have to be moved over to the other loan i have, and it decreases the amount so i am happy!!!!
you all are amazing!!!
