I totally thought I'd found hope with one of the companies that were listed on this site as helping settle PDLs. I called and Kansas is one of the states that they won't work with. I just started crying. I made a very, very bad mistake and I can't afford to lose any more right now. I am on thin ice with my job, my relationship and my credit is so shot I can't even get help to consolidate...I hate this....

I have read the Kansas law over and over and have started making phone calls to all my PDL companies. But I dunno if I'm just scared to death right now or what...but I can't seem to get anywhere. I have both Internet and store-front loans and probably about $3,000 worth.

Ok, I'm sitting here at work balling my eyes out because it just seems hopeless....and it's all my fault...

Anyway...I will sit down and list them all when I get a chance...meanwhile I need to quit this freaking out crap....

Ok...
Here are the storefronts:
Advance America, $575...this is a loan that cannot be rolled over so I owe what is there.

American Payday $345...another loan that cannot be rolled over

Quik Cash $345, again, can't roll over

Emergency Cash and Loans, LLC, $336, I have paid $36 on this since April...every two weeks....they are good about working with me...

Check into Cash: $316, can't roll over either

Internet:
CashCentral: $345, won't let me refinance
PayDayYes: $316, I've made three payments of $63.50
PayDayMax: $316, I've made one payment of $50
BIG International: $345, I've paid the finance fee since April on a $200 loan. It started out at $80 and goes down $5 every two weeks. I'm down to paying $45, which is due on Wednesday
CashNetUsa: $575, they will not work on me to break this up. As of Wednesday I will be in default on this one too.
PaydayOne: $245, have paid nothing yet
Star Advance: $218, I have paid three payments of $18...they have been really good about letting me pay what I can...
QuickBenjamins.com: $220. I have paid nothing yet. They are not happy either
Ambassador Collection: (nationcash.com??) I don't know how much I owe. I am down to $95 every two weeks that I'm paying on. I originally took out a $500 loan, which they let me make payments on.

I think that is all of them....I am truly red in the face as I hit the post button...I'm truly an idiot....and I don't know what to do now...please, any advice...????????

So, based on the mess I've managed to create above...is there ANY hope for me? I can't do this anymore and it's about to cause me to have a breakdown.

How do I get started? I've never been sent to collections before with these companies.

Is your bank account still open?

If so, please read this thread:

http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/close-account.html

You are going to need to keep in communication with the storefronts. Pay them off first, along with the licensed internet companies, then worry about the internet based unlicensed companies.

Yeah, my bank account is still open. And I tried to call one of the storefronts today and she said she couldn't make arrangements until I defaulted... (i.e. they get $30 more bucks out of me)....

OK so read the info in the link Goudah listed for you. Then callyour store fronts and any legal pdl's and explain...you will have to default before they will make arrangements. If you have direct deposit, cancel it and get your check back. Don't panic...many of us here had multiple loans out when we defaulted too...it can be done...I think I count like 15?? There is someone here who had 20 ...so you know it can be done..

Stop paying BIG. They have gotten enough out of you. Get ready for some awful threats from them that they have no legal means of carrying out. Just keep hanging up on them and eventually they will go away. Do not even speak to them or they will keep coming back. They are a weird bunch from the UK. All Indian and Pakistani immigrants. The first few calls may be from the US but eventually those clowns will take over.

Actually, nance, you have to act quickly regarding revoking any wage assignment you may have signed with BIG. They will try to send a wage assignment to your employer to have funds taken out of your check. Wage assignments are totally voluntary; however, you must revoke it before they send it to your employer. It's very simple. Just type up a quick letter to them, state that you revoke any and all wage assignments you may have signed with them. Type your name. Done. Email it/fax it/mail it certified. Keep a copy and give your payroll department a copy. Do this now before they send it in. Your employer does not have to honor it, but it will cover your butt.

As far as the storefronts go - Make sure you go in at least a day before your loan is due to set up the payment plan.
You must invoke the EPP by close of business on the last business day before the loan due date by returning to the office where you obtained the loan or by using whatever method you used to obtain the loan. To invoke the EPP, you must sign an amendment to your loan agreement reflecting the new payment schedule.
So be sure to get there before your due date, or else you may not be eligible for the extended payment plan.

Not sure my other post went through. I think I screwed this up big time. I didn't realize I needed to do this BEFORE payments were due. I called one place today and she was really upset with me...and I understand that...I'm sure they've heard and seen it all. So, what is my best option now? I got one company to work with me. He is really nice (storefront). Now I'm scared to call the others.
Should I write a letter and send it to the companies that I need a payment plan? Will they still send me to collections? And can the legal companies call my boss? I know the illegal ones will....but what about the legal ones?
Has anybody had experience on how to break this to their boss? I did turn BIG pdl into Kansas' AG office. So I can use that to break it to my boss I guess. I'm just a little lost right now and I'm really upset.

I would call the other storefronts immediatly. Keeping up communication is key. They are used to customers defaulting. Your best chnace at a payment plan is making them understand that you are willing to pay, but cannot pay all at once.

The legal companies can pursue collection activities. They aren't likely to call your boss, but they can sue you if they think you aren't going to pay. So keep up the communication.

As for your boss, if you are worried about how he/she will react, you can always say that your ID was stolen, and the person took out a bunch of payday loans with your information.

Well, I at least have some good news.

I have worked out payment plans with storefronts:
Quik Cash and Check into Cash
I have worked out payment plans with CashCentral.com.

It's a start I guess. It's not an easy process as many of these places are being rude, which I guess I don't blame them.

Anyway, I did close my bank account, but left my savings account open so that the legal pdls have a place to go for payment.

I think that's about it for now. I did send ALL the storefronts a certified letter today stating that I will honor my obligation and I gave them each two phone numbers for me.

It's a start...right?
