I live in the state of Kansas and here is a list of payday loans I owe on:

Total of 8 payday loans...all internet Loans,

loan amt - amt paid - #pays

paydaymax.com $600 - $295.00 - 1
cashnetusa.com $500 - $141.87 - 1
cashcentral.com $500 - $0 - 0
cashjar.com $525 - $1425.00 - 10
sureadvance.com $400 - $861.51 - 7
cashdirectexpress.com $400 - $861.51 - 7
fdlloans.com $600 - $583.68 - 6
elastic.com $400 - $175.00 - 2

At present my bank is $600 overdrawn. All of the loans are current though but the next ACH debits on 08/13/10 with all my other bills and the overdrawn account will be a total disaster. Which lenders are legal in my state and what I should do about my bank account. I really need some advice on what I can do. Thank you in advance for any advice you can give.

I PM'd Frogpatch and this was his response:

The first thing to do is close your checking account and get your HR dept to issue a live check! Cash it at the bank where it is drawn and pay your bils with prepaid debit or money order! They may not let you close an overdrawn account so then have it put on a deposit only status! The only legal lender that I recognize is CashnetUSA. Because you PMd this post to me I can't see who replied and when so if I am redundant I am sorry!

I talked to my bank and my account is in pending closed status and set up deposit only...I had my direct deposit stopped and a live check was sent to me this last pay period...I have set up another checking account at a different bank. I have faxed ACH revoke letters to all of the PDL companies listed above...and also emailed same letter to the ones I had email addresses for. Still need to know which PDL are legal in Kansas and some help with my next move. Thanks in advance for all the help.

It is me again! Go to the article in my signature link below and also look up Shazzers on this forum and read her signature link! Great advice there! Kansas has very weak laws regarding PDLs, from what I have been told, but I did have luck with the Attorney General there when a certain resident lender refused to stop ACH withdrawals in violation of Federal law.
You took the first step and got control of your life! Great Job!
