ok here is the story. My boyfriend got a payday loan awhile back and didnt pay it back. Some time past and they got ahold of him. they told him he had to pay it by 5:00 or they would arrest him. I believed the guy so i gave him my checking account number and they have been taking $100 a month for 3 months. He originally recieved $400. Anyway he has been layed off and I cannot afford to pay it for him. So i called all kinds of number to figure out who is taking the money out so they can stop. The company taking it out are real as...les. "www.clear-debt.biz" So basically I want to know can i call them and have them stop taking the payments out? Will he really go to jail? another question if i place a block on them at my bank will they find away around it? I know they are going to be so mean when i call them. I just need some advise on what to say. Thank you for any help.

No you will not go to jail and it is illegal for them to say so. They could go to jail but they won't.
How much have you paid them so far including all fees.
It is very important that you close your checking account before the next payment goes through. Ask your payroll dept. to cut you a live check until you can safely open a new account. YOU CANNOT GO TO JAIL OR BE ARRESTED!! That is BS, a scare tactic that is illegal!! What state do you live in? I will determine what you really owe legally if anything!

In the phonebook it comes up as Advance American Cash Advance. Im not sure what u mean. He went to the "store" here wrote and check and they gave him cash. I am assuming they tried to cash the check when he didnt come back in and pay for it. The bank would have refused it cause he didnt have that kind of money in the bank. They called a few times and then stopped all together. Then about a year later these people called (The ones in the above website) saying they were gonna take him to jail. I hope that helps
