ICollect???

Yeah, the wonderful Icollect, they are just as nasty and unprofessional as the debt collecters.

What should I do about them? How can I contact them? Should I send a DV letter? Sorry that's a lot of questions to answer but I just want to cover everything.

Yep, I would send them a DV letter.

Got two emails from them for two of my PDLs. DVs going out like yesterday!

my sister had an account sent to them, she sent dv letters and they turned her over to another bottomfeeder.

That's just it. I do owe back the principal, which I am more than willing to make arrangements to pay, and that's what I clearly intend to state in my letters to the CA--once I find their address. I'm coming up with nothing.

What's unfortunate is that I want to pay what they lent me because it's the right thing to do, but they want to make me out to be a deadbeat because I refuse to pay more than what I owe to a company that has yet to prove it's a legitimate company. And this will probably come back to bite me in the future :(.

do not send them anything until they confirm that they will accept the prinicpal as full payment and they have a physical address for you to send money orders to.
they are not legal, you can pay them on your terms.

Okay, I'm really beginning to wonder if there's such a thing as iCollect/Debt Management Partners, because I can't find ANYTHING in the way of a physical address, not even when I search the 800 number.

they probably do not a physical address, it does happen. they might be an inhouse collector disguised as a third party. nothing will bite you in the future, to be honest. illegal loans have no legal leg to stand on. i would just resend the letters, this can be paid on your terms and there is nothing they can really do about it.

I got the same message from them. However, other than that 1st email I got nothing else, no calls etc.

that is what happened to my sister, artn.. but she did resend the letters and they ended up passing her on to someone else. i have heard they can get nasty though.

I dealt with this Icollect place a few years ago and trying to deal with them is difficult. I was never able to get through on the phone, but the few times I did the lady was no help. It sounded like she was working from some home office or something. Supposedly they buy the debt from the PDL and then they give it to the collection agency...which they all break the laws.

I would've sent out DVs by now if I sure that the address I did manage to get wouldn't end up being deliverable.

i would send it anyway that way the returned letter could be proof that you attempted to contact them.

You seem really knowledgeable when it comes to information on payday loans. Can you tell me if rollovers paying only the fee with each renewal is legal in California?

I am trying to find out if icollect is still in business? I got an address on another forum on this site. The phone # mached but I just want to make sure my lawyer sends notification to the right place. The forum I got the address from was from back in 2007.
