I took a loan for $200 from Kenwood Services. I have repaid about $150 on it, then I was not able to keep up the payments. I have contacted them repeatedly asking for a different method of payment, but they continue to debit my bank account. (I am out close to $1K per month in NSF fees - no exaggeration.) I sent them an ACH revocation and I received a very nasty reply saying that I was "attempting to commit fraud" and that they were not going to honor the revocation and would continue to debit me as much as they wanted.

I cannot close my bank account as I don't think I could get another one given my credit history. Also, my bank (First Convenience, Texas) refuses to put any type of ACH block or hold on my account. I've asked multiple people about this and they all act like they have never heard of such a thing. One manager actually commented on the fact that the loan company had put the money into my account, and suggested I was trying to shirk payment and I should just own up. I am really frustrated, I can barely pay my bills.

I have filed complaints with the Attorney General. Any other suggestions?

Have you spoken to the branch manager? What you need to do is put your account on "deposit only." Closing it is really the only way to ensure your money is safe. You also need to take a copy of your ACH revocation and give that to the branch manager. This PDL is the one committing fraud. They are stealing money from you without your permission. The bank is required to help you with this. They should also be refunding any fees that were incurred after the revocation of the ACH permission as those fees were incurred due to unauthorized activity. There are simple forms the bank has that you can fill out to dispute these charges. What the heck is going on? You say you've repaid $150 of your loan? How much has been debited from your account? These folks are likely illegal and you only have to pay them back the $200 with no additional fees/interest - regardless of what they tell you. What state are you in?
