I would like to know is Cash in a wink is licensed in the state of Louisiana? They drained money from my account twice a month through ACH and I was shocked to know that they roll over my debt of $ 750 dollars without my consent. I never skipped a payment and I never was aware of this roll over until now that I was alarmed to know they have taken away around $2000 + from me. I was waiting for it to stop and was too busy to compute when I realized it was too much. I just signified that I wanted two payments only of the 15th and 30th and wanted it done . What they did was decide on my behalf to put me on long term payment. When I called them why this is so, they said they roll over the debt because that's what I signed in the electronic agreement ( which I was not even aware of ) and that I still owe them $560 to stop it. I was so mad I wanted to sue them. I closed my account and they kept sending me texts and emails threatening me that my debt will become out of control because I already missed two payments. What shall I do now? Pls. help.

THey are a illegal lender...the threats are empty and mean nothing. Follow the link in my singature line for information oh how to deal with them.

I posted before this. Right now, they are threatening me to conduct legal action . Is this allowed in Louisiana? Isn't it that from the moment I talked to them on the phone, I already complained that I did not choose roll over and they have to stop it by then. Until now, they are sending me messages that my debt will get out of control if I dont pay them or contact them since I closed my account. This is not fair. Can I do something about this? Where do I go to in Louisiana govt. to seek protection from them and their further compounding interests to an unreasonably sky - rocketing interest rate and fraudulent scheme?

I live in MI. I took out a loan from Cash in a Wink for 1000. I paid 962 in interest. I sent the letter that you told me to send about revoking my ACH and wage assignment. Here's my letter and their reply:

Dear Lender,

It has come to my attention that payday loans are prohibited in my state of Michigan. Therefore, the loan contract that I have with you, according to my state's laws, is not enforceable. Although I am not required to do so, I am willing to repay the principal balance of the loan. To date, I have received $1000 and have made 2 renewal's payments of $212.50 and 250.00 leaving a balance due of $537.5. I am willing to repay the $537.5 balance via credit card in 2 monthly installments of $268.75 each on 4/30/2013 and 5/30/2013.

At this time I am revoking ACH authorization. You are no longer authorized to withdraw payments from my checking account. I am also revoking any wage assignment I may have signed. I have given a copy of these revocations to both my bank and my employer. Any future attempts to collect funds in this manner will be blocked.

Please contact me to set up payment arrangements as outlined above

Sincerely,
Marius Wilson

Dear Marious Wilson,

Thank you for your email. We do not usually work with settlement companies, but please have them fax their proposal to 1(800)444-0112 and we will review it. Please contact an Account Specialist at 1-800-723-3050.

Now they're calling me to collect what should I do now?

since this is an illegal lender you only owe 38.00.do not pay a penny more.btw that 962.00 in int gets dedudcted from the 1000.00.last thing.when they call hang up without a word and resend your original email right after.
