online pay day loan help in ky

Hi I live in ky and have online pdl with the following companies:

paydaycashloans
paydayservices
paradise
integrity advance
zip19
first bank of delware claims to be an installment loan but they act just like the other pdls (not sure if this one is illegal or not)

I have contacted my bank and they have blocked all future ach's for these companies. I cannot close my bank acct until my direct deposit switches to my new bank acct. as soon as that happens i plan to close the bank acct. However, I do not know how to proceed from here. Should i make contact with these companies and work out paying back the principal amts owed. is it worth it? Will they actually work with you? I tried contacting them before to make arrangements and no one would help me. I found a cease and desist form letter that people have been either emailing/mailing to the companies. I am not sure where to go from here. I have talked to credit counselors and they all insist that since these loans are illegal i should not have to pay them back. please advise i desperately want to make things right.
