I just got off the phone with my free consultation with Langhorne. I am so torn whether to go with them or just try to go it alone. I feel like such an idiot- when I first started with these loans- I only had a few and I told myself I could manage. Now it's spiralled out of control and their is no way I can pay even the fees all at one time. I am so ashamed of myself- I knew better- but I did it anyways. I won't dare list all the ones I have for fear of being judged- I already feel like a bad person, so I don't need anyone to tell me that I am. I just wanted to see if anyone had any feelings on Langhorne? They are offering me a way out to the tune of $375.00 a month for 12 months. I don't know what to do at this point, I am just lost.

loan shop online
americash advance
cash spot
paydayloanyes
nationwide cash
mycashnow
(see I told you I sound like a moron).
I never took these out with the intention of not being able to pay them back in full - life snowballed on me in the period of two months and now I am way over my head. I do intend on paying them all but I can't keep letting them debit my acct. I am in KY, btw. I wish I had never taken that first loan. See, I have a disabled husband and a small child. I'm the breadwinner and we have had a series of medical and home disasters in the past two months that led me to do this. Now I feel like there is no way out and the world is coming down on me. I'm sorry to sound so melodramatic but it's truly how I feel. :(

No one is here to judge you, and if someone happens to come along and say something offensive it's probably a troll, so ignore them. Anyway, ALL of your lenders are not licensed to lend to KY residents because they must have a license in your state in order to lend legally. I checked the data base and see no license for Americash or Cash Spot, are these Internet lenders or store front lenders, if they are Internet then I can find no license for them, you can call The Kentucky Office of Financial Institutions at (800) 223-2579 to be 100% sure. I am going to give you a link to click on which will take you to another thread, it is a step by step guideline on how to deal with unlicensed lenders, please read it thoroughly and follow the steps, you should be alright, believe it or not! Keep something in mind, you are dealing with ruthless people who will say anything to get money from you, don't give them the time of day, only communicate with them via email, this way you will have a record of all communication in the future if the need be. Thank you for your support. I was thinking of doing it myself- once I figured up what langhorne was going to charge me, it seemed like it was a wash. I am nervous about the calls and letters, but I think I can deal with it. I appreciate each and every one of your advice.
And to PDLowner- I even asked Langhorne if the PDL's places would work with them and she said YES, most definately. The lady was very pushy with me and at one point had the nerve to say-wow , you must make a lot of money! I laughed and replied- if I made a lot of money would I be in this mess? Sheesh! They really kinda reminded me of used car salesmen which is why I came here to ask advice. :P

I never liked the pushy types. A few years ago I called a few debt consolidation places and all but one were very pushy which is a total turn off to me.

The first thing you need to do is close your checking account and take control back of your money. Once you have that done you can sit back and breathe and figure out a plan of action.

Sick in KY-

Do not feel like a fool! You can do the work yourself with some knowledge and help from the great people on this forum.

I noticed You have Nationwide Cash as a PDL. Langhorne is actually a partial owner.

Langhorne "Use" to be their "In house" attorney and would do all the dirty work for them. For that fact alone I would stay clear!

Good luck!

The lady actually told me that the owner was a "Dennis P. Williams". I thought I had seen his name in relation to a payday loan company on this site. Funny Stuff. I guess I will try to go it alone. I am a little worried about the closing the bank account part- I would rather do a hard debit block or go deposit only but I don't know how willing to help me National City will be. They are pretty ruthless. The LOVE those NSF fees!!! Anyone have any experience with them? I already have a new account opened at another bank- I just need to buy some time to get my deposits switched over. KWIM?

I owed about 9 pdls. I went in to National City, sat down, and told them I needed to close my account and open another one. I explained that there were unauthorized charges coming out of my account, and the only way I could get a handle on it was to close the account. I then told them they were not to allow any ach debits without my approval from the new account. I found someone who was nice enough to work with me at the bank. I had Langhorne, but I was not happy with the service. They did not follow through with some of my creditors, and it almost cost me my job. One creditor called my at work and talked to everyone about my pdl. They even told me up front they would keep calling my job until I was fired. Langhorne had dropped the ball and left me stranded. I negotiated with this lender, and settled it myself. Then I ended up negotiating with the remaining lenders, and I realized I had paid Langhorne for work I ended up doing. Some people have a great experience with Langhorne, I did not. I closed my bank account and took it one day at a time. Today, I only owe 2 pdls and I have not heard from them in almost 2 years. When and if they contact me, I will negotiate myself. Unfortunately, I paid so much money to Langhorne and I can not get any of it back.
