Now i am seeking info on langhorne. Recent success with them. I seem pretty confident with they have told me so far about the program so far but would like more input. Dont know if it would be easier to deal with the pdls myself or go with langhorne.

mrthumper, go to the search box in the top right hand corner of this screen. Type in Langhorne. You will see a lot of posts come up with members that have used/are using them. You can read up on what their stories are. I do know that a lot of members have used them and been satisfied. If you find a member post that has/is using them, you can also send them a pm and ask them about their experience. I'm sure they would be happy to answer any questions. On the other hand, many of us have dealt with the pdls on our own. After finding that many are not licensed or not following the state law, etc., we have resolved them on our own. Now, this will take work. If you are up to it, I do believe it can be done. Believe it or not, we have members who have had up to 20 pdls at one time. Like I said, it takes time and work. If you are "up for the fight", you can most likely do it yourself. However, if you are not up to dealing with these people, then by all means, use a company to help you out. It's entirely up to you.

Always check out any company you may go with, not only with the BBB, but google them. I believe you can also check with your Attorney General to see if there are complaints against them.
Make sure you ask questions before you agree to go with them.
What are all the fees involved
How long before they start paying the creditors
Will your creditors work with them
How long will the process take
ASk any and all questions you may have. There are many who have done this themselves also, as the guest said, with success.

I called and spoke with them at length and the fees are ridiculous! It takes about 6 months for them to start paying any sort of real money on your balances. I opted to do it on my own, though I must admit it sounded easier than doing the work. I must be a tightwad. I just want to get this over with QUICK so I am sending them monthly payments

I am currently enrolled with Langhorne and I am completely satisfied with what they have done so far! I enrolled with them in September and I have one pdl paid off so far! And much lower than I would have paid them on my own!

My advise for you is too check all 3 credit reports. Yes you will make payments to Langhorne, but they are basically a mediator, all they are going to do is negotiate a settlement after and only after the loan is sent to a collection agency. the collection agency has the bargaining ability to settle for less than the original loan. HOWEVER, they will report it to your credit as a delinquent acct paid off. If you were like me, I had better than average credit before payday loan misery, now it will take years to fix all the damage done by those payday loans. even though i paid them off and I paid more than I should have and I even paid them within a reasonable time period after they had gone to collection, they still will report it so check your reports periodically. Best way to do that is contact the bureaus and pay the fee to get the reports, dont be fooled by those free credit report websites, they want your CC or bank acct info to subscribe to them in order to get it then they bill you every month whether you use it or not.
