I would like to know if a payday loan company can charge you more than the amount of the loan you took out. I took a check loan for 567.00 but they are charging me legal fees for 700.00 more. I have paid payments and paid the amount of the check. They company is from las vegas but they have a storefront here in utah. give me advice do i need to pay the legal fees also. I have another loan where they are debiting my account twice a week. I have tried to make payment arrangements and told them to stop debiting my account but they still do. What is your advice. i am in Utah.

Utah has some of the laxest payday loan laws in the US.

There is no cap to the amount they can charge in fees, so unfortunatly odds are that what they are charging is 100% legal.

What is the company name?

Also, what is the name of the other company you are dealing with? That one is over the internet, right?
