I had recently a loan with cash transfer centers it is pif.however they
take back all of the loan for the full amount plus $100.example being you take
a loan for $400 they debt your account for $503. is this legal could I get a refund.

Hi there..

So you paid them the loan amount of $400 plus the loan fee of $100 right?

CTC is illegal but I can tell you, forget about the refund. You can certainly write and complain to your state AG (you live in Florida right? I saw your other post), but they refunds are far and few between especially from CTC.

Hi/ I have paid all of my payday loans off in full, even the crazy interest. I have been reading on here about the scare tactics and I am wondering if they still bother you even if you paid them in full? Should I change bank accounts just to be safe? I never defaulted. Thanks for the info. THis is such madness what I am reading here.

stargzr, all I'm going to say is that I personally would switch bank accounts. This is just me personally. Any pdl knowing your bank account information is bad, bad, bad. They share information with others. As far as having all your pdls paid in full, congratulations to you!! However, I would be sure that from each and every one of them, I had something in writing stating that the account was paid in full and is now closed. This would be for your own protection so they do not come back in a year through a collection agency trying to collect on a paid debt. This is just my opinion. I'm sure others will come along with theirs. :D

Stargzr, I have read and experienced so many underhanded things the pdls have done. I have even been given loans without applying...the money just appeared from a pdl I already had a loan with..In part it was my fault becuase I never paid attention to anything in my account but the balance. If it were me, I am with Cannr, I would close any account they had the information for. Especially since money was placed in my account without my approval or knwledge and then they started debiting my account for the $$. I would be afraid with them having my account info, they would do something like that. I have no faith in the pdls, and the more I read and experience, the more I loose faith in the whole banking industry and our ability to protect our money and/or hold these companies accountable for acting in accordance to the law.

Thank you both for answering. I was thinking the same thing. I actually have another bank account and I could switch things over to that one. The only problem (worry) is that I have moved money between the two accounts and I am paranoid that somehow the scumbags could find out. I am also worried that they have all the other personal info they have. What in the heck was I thinking!!!!!

It's okay, stargzr! We've all done it! Don't beat yourself up! I'm not real sure if they can "connect" the two bank accounts. I honestly don't have a clue. This is a new question to me! And, yes, they do have all kinds of information, but we gave it to them! (Yes, I'm kicking myself now!). I don't know, stargzr. I'm hoping someone will know for sure if the two accounts can be "connected" by a pdl. Hang on & I'm sure someone will know. We have a few members here who work in the banking industry.
