Legal Lenders Frustration!
Date: Thu, 03/29/2012 - 15:13
I am struggling now with the legal ones. I did get a settlement from Check n go, and it was great. but honestly, the others are willing to split things into payments, and individually they seem fine, but combined, I just can't do it. I am still shelling out half of my monthly income with payment plans!
I am not sure where to turn. They won't change anything once you get a deal. Help please! I can't pay all of them at once, even on payment plans. Frustrated!!
Are the accounts still with the original creditors or have they
Are the accounts still with the original creditors or have they been handed over to the CAs? If they are still with the original creditors, are you still current on the payments?

Hey Spaceblank, I was still asleep.. sheesh!
OK, here we go.
Check n Go: It went to collections, I set up an arrangement for 4 payments for the missed payments, it is also a settlement for the whole loan thanks to a wonderful person from Customer Relations. this one i can handle, they are monthly payments.
Cash Net USA: They let me defer a payment on my installment loan last month. Now it is a double payment and will return. I talked to collections, they will set up a plan for splitting the double payment into three payments every two weeks. I still have the regular loan payment coming up May 1. The three payments are still too much. They won't change the terms of the installment loan.
Cash Central: EPP for 4 payments. I have made three, the most recent one overdrew my account. They are high. I have one more to go, so should be out of the woods in 2 weeks on this one.
Speedy Cash: I haven't talked to them yet. I have an installment loan, payments are $200 a month, three payments to go.
Storefront: PLS: $250 month installment loan, current. Haven't dealt with them yet.
Pay Day One: Won't change terms, they let me skip one payment. Not enough. This is an installment loan, $129 every two weeks.
None of them are at CA yet. Everything is considered current except Check n go, but as I said, that one is in settlement and I am happy.
It seems to me that if you call they should work with you but I am not finding this to be the case.

Sometimes with legal lenders, the best thing to do is default on the loan and then work out your payment plan with collections.
