2004 payday loan thought paid, getting calls on it?

I had a payday loan out in 2004. I thought it was paid but I have been getting harassing phone calls from people who sound like they are calling from another country. I can't show proof of payment because it's been 4 years & I don't have it anymore. When I ask the name of the company that they are calling from they tell me "Dept. of Investigation". They inform me that if I don't pay then I will get arrested. I get very annoyed because I can't understand these people. They tell me they will take legal matters into their own hands & prosecute me. I ask them where they are calling me from & they say Atlanta. After arguing w/ these people they hand up on me. Are they legitimate & what can I do about this?

Those people are part of the BIG/ Route66 Funding /GFSIL group. They have several other names. The are calling you from the UK but are of Indian Extraction. Just hang up on them. Do not engage them in conversation or they become encouraged. They are a totally illegal company and can do nothing to collect anything from you. They are a royal pain but harmless!.
