From my experience, and I have had a great deal, these illegal lenders will try everything to intimidate you! Do not give in! They will eventually give up and the next step is dealing with third party collectors. That is when you need to know the laws of your state and the FDCPA. They cannot report you to a credit bureau if the debt is not valid. It cannot be valid if it is illegal. Study the law and know your rights and you will emerge untouched. Challenge everything!
