What happens if these PDL companies hae been ignoring my ceast and decist letter and keep calling me. Also I spoke to the attorney general's office in Ohio and they are saying you cannot make a complaint with them for internet PDL's. You have to go to the state the company is based in. Is this true or should I speak to somone else?

Cease and desist letters only apply to 3rd party collectors. Sounds to me like your AG office is retarded and lazy. However if you can provide us a list of who you owe there are some knowledgeable people here who might know their location in the US , if they are not over seas. File a complaint with the FTC. The link is on my signature below.

That's just ridiculous, some of these companies aren't even based in the U.S. You can file a complaint online, and that is exactly what I would do.

You really want to start with me again? I thought that we called a truce a long time ago?

I follow the laws that I am required to follow. The FDCPA does not apply to first party collectors except in a few states that have included them in thier regulations. The TCPA is only applicable to unsolicited telemarketing calls, NOT collection calls, political calls, charity/church calls, surverys/polls and a few other types.

Clear?
