First, welcome to the forums :) If you look in the special topics above on this page, you will find more information about payday loans and state laws. Or you can check out paydayloaninfo.org for more information regarding laws in your state. If your state has a divsion/department of financial institutions, you can do a search that way as well. I know my state shows what companies are licensed and the ones who are not licensed. If you are dealing with internet loans, it will be highly unlikely that they are licensed in your state. Very few are.

Thanks Mishele. I will take a look and see. I'm pretty sure they are not licensed but want to make sure before I start sending letters requesting pif. I sent emails, but of course, there has been no reply. I'll keep everyone posted on my progress.
