Is Cash Advance USA licensed in the State of Nevada? Does anyone know? If you do not have the answer, where would I look? I have received a collection letter from Capital Collections LLC - ever heard of them? Thanks for any information.

In oreder to do business in any state a company has to be licensed to lend in that state. PA is one exception. If a pdl is licensed anywhere it is legaL to lend in pa.I am assuming MYcandy is in NV???

Is Cash advance USA a store front? IF so they are 100% legal. The web site says that they are operating as a member of the cfsa.

Is MY1 Direct licensed in the State of Nevada? Where would I go to see if these companies are licensed? What web site would it be? The PDL's that I have are all internet companies.....no storefront. I am still in the process of straightening all this out. I have notified some that they are not licensed in Nevada, and therefore the contract in itself is not legal. Some have left me alone, at least for the moment - and others are still calling day and night. I just don't answer the phone. Cash Advance USA was not a store front operation. What is cfsa? Thanks again for all the help....also has anyone had their bank account with Bank of America? Are they helpful in trying to stop these PDL ACH withdrawls without having to close your account?

candy, use this link. Type in the names(s) of you you are looking for to see if they come up as licensed.

http://www.fid.state.nv.us/Qry_CkCashLicensee.asp

The CFSA is the Community Financial Services Organization. (www.cfsa.net) You can go to the website and check it out. Some pdls are members of CFSA. If so, you're able to go in and invoke the EPP (extended payment plan) and pay off your loan in 4 equal payments.

Also, regarding Bank of America, some people on here have had problems with them; however, I haven't dealt with them. I'm sure if they read this, they will post as to how they've handled it.

Good point, kash! mycandykiss, you can go to the "banking forum" on this site and post your question regarding Bank of America. MCA can help you further with that information. Very good information on that forum.
