I am trying to find out if my online payday loan companies are licensed to operate in the state of Florida. I tried clicking on the links in this forum, but I cannot seem to find the answer.
Does any know if these online payday loan companies are licensed in Florida:
It's My Payday Loan
Integrity payday loan
Lakota Cash
Payday Max
US Fast Cash
American Webloan
Eastside Lenders
PDLnow.com
Thanks I would appreciate the help. The website given to check licenses is difficult to navigate

Where did you find out this information? See, I am trying to work out settlements with them, but I have already paid some fees. Therefore, I want settlement not to reflect any inflated fees, especially if the lenders are illegal in Florida.
I am working with It's my payday loan right now, as we speak. I think the settlement should be lower since I have already paid them $225. They want to still add in about $130 in fees on top of what I owe. If I have some proof they are illegal, this will give me more bargaining power to say that I know they are illegal "as per____." and that I will negotiate a settlement for the balance on what I owe. I have every intention of paying back what I owe. I got a call from one of their "lawyers" and he was nice, but I got a sense that I still was being taken to the cleaners on the settlement. I have paid yet and I am to talk again with him tomorrow,. He says the company is NOT allowed to MAIL anything which for me is holding up the process because I want things in writing before I give money out.
Can you tell me an easy way to find out that these lenders are illegal in Florida?
Thanks

I read all the previous posts on dealing with illegal payday loan companies. That is what I plan to do. However, working with them on this is not that easy. I spoke to one who is trying to get service fees and refusing to use the mail. Now, if I insist on only paying back what I took and insist on communication through mail, if they don't respond, can I be sued by them if I am not paying because they don't respond?

How did you get the information on them being illegal?

Mel
