Loan Point has called twice of course I have not answered, but both times they (Denise) have left a message that the has been a complaint filed against me. I paid them 1260.00 on a 300.00 loan. I closed my account and sent letters to them, the BBB, AG in MA & Utah and Div of Banks. What could the complaint be...I didn't pay them enough money?? The BBB did not get a response from them so they contacted them again and they have until the 23rd. I am looking for a refund should i keep ignoring the calls???

As Ladybug has said quite correctly that we need to know in which state you live in so that we can check out the legalities associated with the payday loan in your state and answer you better.

Now, please tell me???????are you interested in settling the account by going for an installment payment?
If yes then you can do the following: -
??????? You can call the lender and tell them that you want to repay the outstanding amount in installment basis.
??????? If they refuse to work out any solution, then you can approach the regulator of the payday loans in your state and ask for help.
??????? You can also complain about the payday lender to the regulator of your state even if payday lending is legal in your state because most of the times these companies don????????t abide by the law entirely. Regulators may in turn help you in settling the debt or take stringent action against the unlicensed lenders.

Hi mom, IMO you have paid way above then what you owe to them. So, don't respond to their calls and don't pay a dime.

Where do your reside? If you????????re residing in Massachusetts, where it is illegal to make payday loans, then you????????re not required to pay this lender anything more. However, in Utah, the lender can charge any interest on a loan amount.

In Utah you should file a complaint against the lender with the

Utah Department of Financial Institutions
Address: 324 South State Street, Suite 201 Salt Lake City UT 84111
Phone: (801) 538-8830
Fax: (801) 538-8894

Hope I was helpful. Please, response to the queries asked by the other members. It????????ll help them to offer you better guidance.

Yes tweety I am in Massachusetts and I have paid way more..they owe me 960.00!
In Utah they can only rollover for 12 weeks, even with that they owe me money! I did file complaints in MAss and Utah & with BBB. I am hoping to get a refund. I can't imagine what the compliant against me would be these people are thieves!
