I have finally figured out what i have paid, this is insane! How could i be so dumb! I still really need advice. I did close my accounts and they can not be reopened under any circumstance. I sent a letter that was posted on this site to Loan Point & Sandpoint (Clearwater) with no response. Clearwater did respond about Nevis ruling the laws but i told them no MA laws prevail. No answer.
The debits would go through tomorrow but that won't happen, when will they start to call and what do i say. I am very nervous about this. I did call the division of banks and they also told me to close my accounts!!! Thanks for any help/advice you guys can give. In reading some of these posts it has made me very nervous!

Well, we can't promise it won't be hard. these payday monster are awful to deal with. Once the loans have defaulted, they will contact you (though it might be a few days after). Than send out letters and reports to FTC, BBB and AG.

momw...here is the guy from loanshop that gave me my PIF letter and refund. i had overpaid on my loan though. but he was nice to deal with. i emailed him and it was done in one day. maybe if you take care of your loanshop loans first...and get a good response, it will motivate you to do the others like it did me. make sure you mention reporting to the BBB and Attorney General...i don't think they like that very much.

momw, when I first came here, I was a wreck! I seriously was about thisclose to faking my death and moving to Mexico! However, I closed my bank account and got it protected and then sent out letters. I have gotten one to settle for just the principal, one (legal) one to work out a payment plan and one even gave me a refund! The others I am still haggling with but there's hope! You can do it!
