What can I do? They authorized a $500 loan that they put into my account and I didn't know that it was in there. I have automatic withdrawls for my other bills in which those withdrawls chewed into this $500 so now I owe them. They charge me $150.00 every 2 weeks to keep this damn thing active. I was told my total balance is $650.00!!!! I tried to call and talk to them and I get NO WHERE! I live in Ohio what can I do? Should I close my bank account? If I close my bank account will I get charged for not having the funds?

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi jsf03,
Geneva Roth will keep debiting you account forever, I had a loan with them that I had overpaid by about $800. The first thing to do would be to secure your account so they can no longer access your funds. I'm not positive, but I believe they are illegal. Once your account is secure, you want to send them a letter revoking your authorization to debit your account and any wage assignements you may have signed. You will also want to file a complaint with the BBB, FTC & attorney general for OH.
I was able to settle with them through the BBB, I was hoping for a refund, but ended up with a PIF, so I was happy.

I did LoanPointUsa and calculated the math to know how quickly I could pay it off due to my biweekly checks. I did have to pay alot since it took one more paycheck. I don't seem to have any trouble since it got paid and all fees incurred where handled.
