sent me a letter theya re going to take me to court for 430 for a payday loan they are trying to collection.. what do I DO NOW.Iknow I over paid them

Some more info would be helpful. What did the letter say exactly? You aren't going to get taken to court unless you get served papers. just them telling you that they will sue you doesn't mean anything yet. I'm not so sure a PDL lender would even bother taking someone to court as PDL's are iilegal in most states. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please..

You NEED to send them a debt validation letter BEFORE the 30 days are up, make them validate that debt.

as shazzers advised send this so called law firm a DV letter.send it certified mail return receipt.i bet if you look at your AG'S website this "law group"won't come up.i'm willing to gp out on a limb, and say this is a bottomfeeder playing lawyer.in which case send the letter and i would start compiling evidence for a lawsuit against the collector playing lawyer.

i'm guessing this was an internet loan?then it is non-collectable,and non-enforceable.send them the DV letter with a section telling them to whizz on the electric fence.they can do nothing at all.

It was an internet loan from a company for loan point USA, it was for a 700 dollar loan and now they say I owe 1100. And I got a letter from a ferrell law group representing them saying if I dont respond in 30 days they will sue me and I have to pay lawyer costs, etc.

again the loan is non-collectable,and non-enforceable.file an AG,and FTC complaints against both the illegal lender, and the idiots playing lawyer.also send a DV letter to the idiots at ferrell send it CMRRR.this is an illegal loan that in FL they can't collect on,or sue you in FL over for the reasons mentioned.get the DV letter out and either watch them dissappear,or sue them a new one yourself.
