I have been speaking with a woman at LRA about two payday loans that I am trying to work out. Long story short...

They are with CMG and Pack Management Group...both unlicensed to do business in the state of Montana. She mailed me two letters from them stating I have 30 days to dispute this debt and now they are both charging me over $505.00 on a $200.00 loan when I have already made payments to the loan. So this letter tells me I have 30 days to dispute the validity of the debt but she is calling me saying she has my account on "hold" through today and if I do not make payment arrangements she is pursuing fraud charges and sending "paperwork" to my work???!!! When I ask her what kind of papers, she just says ... papers is all. Which I am concerned is a wage garnishment notice from these places. Also, she has contacted my HR at work and now I do not want her harrasing my people here. so this letter says I have 30 days but she won't listen to me when I tell her that...what do I do in this sticky situation? I want to pay these off but now they are adding in astronimical charges and I don't even have a copy of the loan agreement b/c there wasn't one....

Find an attorney who handles these cases on a contingency basis. Send a cease communication to the collector to, at worst, collect another 1. These peole are in violation of the law and must be stopped. Try the website www.naca.org for an attorney in your area. Meanwhile just ignore them. They are blowing a lot of smoke and would never dare step foot in a court of law without being licensed.
Type their name in the search box above and you will find a dozen other threads about them!

I need a little more help on what to send to them to stop calling my employer. I believe I need to send the collection agency a debt validation letter and I have 30 days to do. Just need a little more info on what you think I should do now....I do not believe I am at the point of needing an attorney. Thanks!

In the debt validation letter can I also C & D Contact with my employer? I am just freaked on what they will do now that they have contact with my HR dept. I sent wage garnishment revocation to all my pdl's but can I send a wage rev to a collection agency?

Okay obviously you owe CMG and Pack Management Group because you stated "I have already made payments to the loan". It sounds as if you got behind a smidgin for them to turn you over to a collector. Stop the insanity, call the original lender (only if you can or intend to pay them)and see if they will waive the fees if you pay them directly. Just because a collector calls doesn't mean their a god or something. Tell them, to do every thing in writing.....everything. You cannot record all of your phone calls. The DV letter is AWSOME...use it, it should state NOT to contact your employer. Good luck.
