Payday Loan Help
Date: Sun, 09/18/2011 - 23:19
I've been reading on this site for the past few days which has actually made me start looking into the payday loans that I currently have. I've tried going into the link that one of the threads had in which you can search whether a company is licensed in your state, and so far, almost all of the ones I have are not licensed.
I live in California, and I just got recently educated with payday loan laws here; unfortunately, I did all these research after the fact that I have already acquired all these debts, and now I'm stuck with them and am looking at seriously struggling in the next 2 payperiods without even being able to put a dent on any of the principal balances for any of my loans.
I have thought of closing my account and stopping my direct deposit, but I am already in ChexSystems which means opening a new account would be almost impossible for me.
I currently bank with Chase... Has anyone had any experience with doing a "hard block" with that bank?
Also, I just want to make sure that I do have the right info regarding these ppl's if they are really legal or illegal in California:
1. Everest
2. Galaxy Marketing Inc.
3. Loan Shop
4. 500 Fast Cash
5. DMA Financial
6. Cash Central (I think this one's legal here; if they are not licensed, at least they are following the laws of California).
I need input PLEASE!!!!! I'm so tired of worrying about how I'm going to make it til my next payday; then next payday comes and I'm all wiped out already. I am very much aware that a lot of this is my fault for not doing proper research before I even started it. I just ended up in a cycle of desperation until I actually landed on this site when I was looking for a payday loan consolidation company.:confused:
