Hi Everyone,

More questions :? Are Magnum Cash Advance and International Cash Advance the same company? I obtained a loan from Magnum but when I looked at an earlier e-mail from them I noticed it said International. This is the only company I haven't sent a letter to and want to be sure. Also, has anyone had good results from them after sending letters. Thanks.

Magnum Cash Advance is Illegal and yes they are the same as International.

I had a loan with them. I sent my letter and when I stated I wanted to pay the principal via money order this is the address they gave me.

Mailing address:

International Cash Advance
C/O Call Center Services, Inc.
1403 Foulk Rd suite 203
Wilmington DE, 19803

That is only the address here in the states which is a call center and for payment processing. They are actually located in the British Virgin Islands.

I did not mail a letter I sent them an email using this address info(at)magnumcashadvance.com

They replied from this address Mgmt(at)mycallcenterservices.com

I actually had a good response from Magnum. I sent them my C & D letter and another letter stating they were illegal and that I had overpaid by $44.00. They sent me an e-mail one day later stating the account was paid in full by would not refund me the $44.00.

I can live with it, better than paying the $1100.00 they were stating I owed.

I also had a response from them. They agreed to "forgive" my debt. Ha! I had overpaid them as well but at least I am done with them.

actually magnum cash advance is legal in the states. their contract, if you read it, says that they do business only on the internet and their customers seek out their company. They do business from British Virgin Islands, but since it's done over the internet, they don't have to be licensed in individual states. Also state laws are applicable only to companies that have a physical presence in your state. just pay the bill

Magnum Cash Advance is not legal in all states. You must look to your the laws within your states to determine the legality of a payday loan comanies. While their contract states that they do business only on the internet and their customers seek out their company... there is case law that says differently. For example, one major case that decided this issue was, Zippo. The court in that case held that where the website is accessed can determine governing case law. Massachusetts has also issued a similar opinion, stating that "...it is irrelevant whether the lender maintains an office or conducts any of its operations in Massachusetts, or actively and specifically solicits for potential Massachusetts borrowers. Accordingly, it is the position of the Division that, to the extent the loan application is completed, electronically or in any other format, by a Massachusetts resident in Massachusetts, it is a loan application "made" in Massachusetts within the meaning of section 96." Hope this helps.

I actually had a good response from magnum. I sent out my C&D letter and my revoking wage attachment/ACH debit withdrawls and they responded that my account was closed and to make the balance payments for my prinicipal amount via money order to the address in DE. I didnt have to file any complaints, they responded very quickly to the matter and haven't bothered with me since. I did find out they were an illegal lender in the state of PA, and that's how I went about revoking everything, but I have to say they told me "we have seen these letter templates from the debt consolidation website and are familiar with the situation" they also said I wont ever be able to reloan with them, but that's not such a bad thing :)
