Hi. I owe payday loans to 8 different companies today. Tomorrow, the first one that comes out will take $635, and my rent is due in the amt of $450.That will leave me w/ $50 to pay the BGE and $100 for food for teh next two weeks? I guess I'll be scrounging for transportation costs. (Needless to say the other bills I owe will not be paid).

I live in Maryland.
I borrowed, and have paid (in that order):

1) United Cash Loans: B- $300 ; P- $374.00

2) UC Financial: B- $300 ; P- $180

3) Northway/CashTransferCenters: B- $500; P- nothing this time, but have pd $500 in fees for previous loans through them.

4) CashNet: B- $400 ; P- $207.23 (also pd over $500 in fees for previous loans through them)

5) Magnum: B- $400 ; P- $157.28

6) Ameriloan: B-$300 ; P- $0

7) Cash Central/SGS: B- $400 ; P- $0

8) Payment Direct: B- $200 ; P- $0

Tomorrow I am officially #**!@*!!! I would like to pay it back, but wish I could somehow pay about $300/month towards it all. Is that possible?

What is my first step to handling this huge problem and being able to pay rent and gas and BGE and auto insurance???
rg

the first step is to secure your bank ASAP.. it is probably not too late, there is a sticky here to read first about closing your account, please read it and at the very least put at least a hard block on your account so they will not get money.
someone will help you with your state laws but i am pretty sure these loans are not even legal in your state.. which means you can pay the principal back however you please, as they cannot pursue legal action (someone please correct me if i am wrong about loans being illegal in maryland!)

I'd definitely say to call the Maryland Dept. of Financial Regulation in Baltimore (phone # is on this website under state laws); they're a big help. Don't know about the other loans but United Cash Loans is DEFINITELY not legal in Maryland (or just about anywhere else), even though they will tell you that the MD Attorney Generals' office is wrong when they tell you they're illegal!
