On their website they list Massachusetts as one of the states they cannot lend to..funny the gave me a 300 dollar loan ( I am in Massachusetts) that I have paid over 800 dollars for now. and they are trying to get more.
I want that money I overpaid them.
I have reported them to the attorney generals office in Massachusetts.
Have not heard back yet but I am going to dog this atkins until I get my money.
If they are not licensed to operate in your state, then you only
If they are not licensed to operate in your state, then you only have to pay the principal amount. You are not required to pay the interests and fees. Since you have already overpaid them, you can send them a letter via certified mail with return receipt requested to refund your money.
Payday Loan Yes
I have never received such horrible customer service. The worst part is I didn't know about this company prior to their phone calls to me. I've never gone on their website, I've never applied for a loan, I have had no dealings with them at all, yet I'm being harassed by them. Calling their Customer Service Department is pointless because as soon as they hear you're not happy they hang up on you. They're rude and speaking with a Supervisor is useless. This is the email I sent to the company and still have had no response, yet I've had 5 more phone calls. I just want my # removed and the person they are trying to contact is someone I've never even heard of!
I'd like to start off by saying that I would NEVER do business with your company or recommend your company to ANYONE in need.
It started off with a phone call from one of your Customer Service Representatives asking for someone that I do not know. I told her she had the wrong # and she continued to argue with me and tell me she did not. After telling her that I didn't know who she thought she was talking to but she had the wrong # she hung up on me. I immediately hit *69 and got your companies phone #. I proceed to call and speak with someone who tells me it was probably someone in collections and transfers me. I then speak with someone else who tells me they will transfer me to a Supervisor and I get the voicemail of "Stewart Davis". I did not leave a message I called back. I get a "Tina" who tells me they don't make outbound calls and it was collections so there's nothing she can do. I tell her that I need to speak to someone and Tina immediately gets rude with me and tells me "again I told you already we don't make outbound calls" I tell her "I heard you, I'm asking that you transfer me to the department that does" well surprise, surprise - Tina hangs up on me. I call back and speak with THE ONLY nice gentleman at your company - unfortunately, I was so angry I did not catch his name, but wish I did. He tries to do everything he can to assist me and tells me he is transferring me to a "Mr. Stewart at extension 823". Mr. Stewart answers the phone with "yes" I said "is this Mr. Stewart" he says again like he's completely bothered he's having to do his job as a Supervisor and answer the phone - "yes" I said wow is there anyone at your company that is not rude and AGAIN I immediately get hung up on.
NO ONE except for ONE gentleman asked me what the issue was or how they could assist. I did NOT (surprisingly) get loud or verbally abusive; yet I was still hung up on each time someone sensed they had someone unhappy on the other line. At MY company we deal with customers on a daily basis and if we EVER spoke to people the way your Customer Service Department speaks to people we would lose business so quickly. I will be reporting this to the BBB and on every website I can possibly get my hands on to spread the word that no matter how desperate you may get, going to YOUR company should NEVER be the solution. I have never done business with you and after the way I was treated, I would never do business with you and feel sorry for ANYONE who is ever in the horrible position to feel like they have to do business with you.
This issue could have been easily resolved by taking the time to do your job as a Customer Service Representative and listen to what someone has to say. Just 5 minutes of listening and maybe just maybe trying to see if there's an easy resolution to make someone happy. Instead I was greeted with resistance and unprofessionalism because it was easier to hang up on someone than to actually help. The part that blows my mind the most out of this whole fiasco is that I could MAYBE understand if I was screaming or cursing at someone, but I wasn't. That is what makes this so much worse.
From what I've seen of your company already - I'm sure this email will be deleted; however, I wanted to let it known that I will be sure to use all my business and personal connections to spread the word.
Thank you for your time.
