Midwest fidelity harassing me over Uncle Warbucks

Hi there!

Everyone helped me a few years ago to settle some loans I took to help pay for my cancer bills that I did not know were illegal tribal loans. I just received a letter from Midwest Fidelity I attached. I'm not sure what to do with this. First of all, I don't remember even taking a loan from Uncle Warbucks. Second of all, I looked the company up and Uncle Warbucks is a Canadian tribal company. Can Midwest make me liable for this? and will this end up on my credit report if I don't pay it? I have fought hard the past five years and finally got my credit score back up to 700's and some money in my account.

I did some research and see Midwest fidelity is a scumbag company in Kansas and work with a lot of tribal companies and I read a lot of complaints. They are calling my phone multiple times a day with a robot saying this matter is within legal grounds for collection when I listen to the message. Midwest does show up on Florida license database, but I don't see Uncle Warbucks licensed anywhere. Please help! What should I do next?

Thanks in advance,
Tina

Hello Tina!

You are really going through a pathetic situation. But don’t worry, we are here to help you.

First of all, you should ask Midwest Fidelity out
to show the valid papers that you have taken out a loan from Uncle Warbucks. Only then it will be proved whether or not you have taken out a loan from them.

The second point is, payday loans are usually not a factor for credit score.

So, you shouldn’t be worried about it.

Please write to us for further queries.

Thanks!

Thank you Ryan. They are saying in defense that it is an installment loan not a payday loan. Can they sue me for this if it shows I did in fact take this loan? They said it is an electronic signature. I don’t have any record of this. Are those held accountable in a court of law? I don’t understand how they can collect for a some Canadian Indian tribe anyway.

Hi Tina!

I don’t think you need to be worried.

I read a Better Business Bureau alert for Uncle Warbucks. BBB has asked Uncle Warbucks to provide an exact physical location from where it is running the business. Unfortunately, Uncle Warbucks did not give a suitable reply to BBB.

Moreover, Better Business Bureau is also conspicuous about Uncle Warbucks’s business model.

So, you can remain assured that Midwest Fidelity can’t snatch a single dollar from you on behalf of Uncle Warbucks. The court will never take the side of such dubious companies.

So, you don’t need to be worried.

Thank you again Ryan. They sent me a letter with my so called contract electronically signed. Uncle Warbucks address is noted on the loan document. It clearly states the loan is governed by Common Law which tells me tribal. The letter sent to Midwest Fidelity has Uncle Warbuck’s address as an offshore PO Box along with over 20 different companies including China using it. Terrible that Midwest Fidelity is working for them. My guess is Midwest Fidelity is a tribal collection agency.

Hello sorry to post here but I am having trouble starting my own post. It just lets me save it but won't let me post it. I just recently got a notice from midwest fidelity for a loan from Money Messiah in 2016. I live in Indiana and I did take out the loan, but I paid them 800.00 on a 500.00 loan and I have the e-mail exchange with them and when I requested relief they would not work with me and I felt like since I had paid more than the loan and they were not licensed in Indiana I was good. I ended up paying off my loans with a lot of companies through a company, but not them. I closed my account that the loans went into and they do not have my new account. My question to everyone is this.

1. Do I need to do anything about this loan with Money Messiah?

2. What should I do about midwest fidelity? Right now I am just ignoring them. I just don't want to hurt myself down the road, I am slowly pulling myself out of the hell I put myself in.

Thanks in advance
