You really should have checked your payday loan laws BEFORE you closed your account, because in your state, these lenders can take criminal action against you for closing your account with post dated checks out. Please read your payday loan laws at the link below, make sure you scroll down and read what it says regarding criminal action:

You need to contact these lenders asap, some of them may be members of the CFSA ( Community Financial Services Association of America), click the link below to check the member list:
http://www.cfsa.net/MemberList.aspx
You may want to call them and ask if they are members, because sometimes they aren't listed. If they are members you might be eligible for an extended payment plan, my advice to you is to do something quickly since you have closed your account, see the link below to read about the extended payment plan:

Maybe I'm not understanding you?? If you wrote a check before you closed your account, then turned around and closed it, the MO payday loan state laws state:
Criminal Action: Prohibited (Unless check returned due to closed account or stop-payment by maker)
So, what I am saying is, if you closed your account while you have a post dated check still out there the lender could take criminal action against you, I'm not saying they will, but they could.

Did you write a check AFTER you closed the account or BEFORE, I am confused, sorry.
