Have you tried closing your account...I doubt that your bank is going to close it with a negative balance but perhaps if you explained your situation they might be more willing to work with you. Before closing your account read the thread on "closing your checking account due to pdl's" that will give you a better understanding of what to expect when doing so.
Someone will be around to advise you if these pld's are legally operating in your state.

You may have time to change your direct deposit to a new account that does not use chek systems. Try your local credit union. Good Luck.
