I currently have 7 Pay Day Loans...I am paying $600 in interest twice a month. Is it possible to consolidate these loans to one monthly payment?

teri, you can try to use one of the consolidation companies, Langhorne or T&C, or you can try to fight these yourself. If you would like, we can try to help you. If you wish, please post what state you reside in, the names of the pdl's, if they are internet or store front, how much you have borrowed (principle only) and how much you have paid back. We can probably help you here! :D

I am in Wisconsin, they are all Internet loans.

Loan Point USA - $200 - Paid $60.00 in interest
CashNet USA - $500 - Paid $250 in interest
Fast and Reliable Cash - $500 - Paid $300 in interest
Crown Lending - $300 - Paid $180 in interest
Quickest-Cash-Advance - $300 - Paid $180 in interest
Pay Day One - $500 - Paid 128.80 in interest and $160.00 on the principal
Nationwide Cash - $400 - Paid $80 in interest

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I know that Wisconsin has some stange laws . . . . Storefronts are allowed to charge just about anything, and internet companies can be licensed by another state IF you went to them. If they solicited you, then they would have to be licensed in WI. Hopefully Puddlejumper or Joshuatree will be around soon and they can better explain the difference.

teri, we do have some WI resident members on here. They can probably help you more. However, I'm going to post your state law regarding pdl's, which is kind of vague. One thing, criminal action is prohibited. Either way, I do not believe that Loan Point is licensed/legal. I'm not positive. CashNetUSA may be licensed. Not positive about that one either. However, I do know that Quickest-Cash-Advance is illegal. I'm not a whole lot of help, but the other WI residents will be along to help. In the meantime, I'm posting your law for you to see. :D

Well I did get a hold of T&C, but unfortunately WI does not allow us to use financial services located out of our state, so they were unable to help.

I have done a lot of research on this site, and found tons of valuable info...thanks everyone! I have decided to try and handle things myself....with the help of this site of course! I have talked to my employer, and asked them stop directly depositing my check into my checking account. I am working on my "Revoke Authorization letters", then I will talk to my bank, give them copies of the letters and see what they have to say. Can't believe I got myself into such a mess! I believe only two of my PDL's are licensed in WI, so I will try to work out payment arrangements with them first, then I will take care of the illegal ones. Any advice is welcomed, thanks again everyone for your help.
