Has anyone had any luck with complaints filed with the BBB-specifically MTE and Credit Protection Depot?

thanks :)

both have been known to lie to government agencies.such as the BBB and AG offices.so yes they do respond, but lie out there
backsides.

yep, unfortunately.you somewhere down the road will get an email from the BBB stating they met the conditions of the contract and such.should that happen follow up complaints is the way to go.don't let up,they are not so why should you.

Just got the first reply from BBB re: MTE. it pretty much reads as paul said it would and that it's been turned over to a collection agency.

This was a loan that is just $30.00 short of repaying the principle.

What's our next step guys?

usually,MTE or MNE will use in house collections.that means they will collect themselves, but will claim it's a CA.i would be prepared to send DV and C&D letters in case they do turn over
to a CA.if they use in house collections i would just stand firm on the 30.00.i would do that regardless of how they try to collect as they are illegal as all get.

That was the same response I got from MTE with my BBB complaint. I went ahead and filed a second complaint, but they haven't responded yet and it's been close to 2 weeks. I've just been sending them my monthly payments to clear up the principal, which I only have one more left and I'll be done with them.
