Hi, I'm in an extremely bad situation with payday loans, both Internet and storefront. I'm in California. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one in this situation, but I am still incredibly desperate and don't know what to do.

Below is the information on what I owe, all of the internet loans are directly debiting every two weeks so I am completely debilitated:

Internet:
NorStar Cash - Borrowed $300, paid $180

Midland Financial - Borrowed $300, paid $180

Sandpoint Capital -Borrowed $300, paid $180

Paragon Processing - Borrowed $300, paid $180

US FastCash - Borrowed $300, Paid $180
ameriloan - Borrowed $300, paid $480 (paid off loan)
Geneva Roth - Borrowed $500, paid $600

Storefront:
Cash 1 - borrowed $300, paid $75, on payment plan

Advance America - borrowed $300, paid $50, on payment plan

California Check Cashing - borrowed $300, paid $25, on payment plan

Check into Cash - borrowed $300, paid $75, on payment plan.

PLEASE help me. I have other debt, but I'm not concerned with it at this point. I just need to get out of this situation and am feeling incredibly helpless. thank you.

I am not as good as the rest of these guys. my best advice is while you are waiting on other responses from them, keep reading post on here from others. You will find lots of valuable info. I did this while waiting on my response and have almost figured it all out. look for your state name and just check all of them. These guys are wonderful people doing a valuable service that they are not even getting paid for. Give them a little while they will get to you. Good luck I wish you all the best.

NorStar Cash is illegal. You only owe them $120.
Midland Financial is illegal/unlicensed. You owe them $120.
Sandpoint Capital is illegal/unlicensed. You owe them $120.
Paragon Processing is illegal/unlicensed. You own them $120.
US FastCash is illegal/unlicensed. You owe them $120.
Geneva Roth illegal/unlicensed. They owe you $100.

Cash 1 is member of CFSA. They offer a EPP, Extended Payment Plan. They can break the loan into 4 equal payments over four paydays.

Advance America is also a member of CFSA.

Check into Cash is also a member of CFSA.

I do not show California Check Cashing as a member but they may still offer an EPP.

You can read more about the EPP here

For the illegal lenders you need to send them a letter stating they are illegal and that you are only willing to pay the principal on the loan.

California Check Cashing does offer an EPP and is pretty reasonable to work with. My only advice to you with them is to make sure and keep all of your payment records, as I found that they had a bad habit of losing documentation and would call me from collections, before I told them I was on an EPP.
I also dealt with Cash 1 and Advance America and I can tell you that they were indeed pains, Advance America more so. But this was before the days of the EPP, so maybe things have changed.
And FYI, Cash 1's collections are done by Checksmart out of Ohio, which is pretty notorious for being obnoxious to deal with. My best advice to you is to work with each storefront's manager, as even though you may get all of the nastygrams in the mail from their corporate offices, as long as you stick to what you tell your manager, you should be OK.

What's your fico credit score?...if you are willing to give me.
Try ditching your bank for a credit union. When you join a credit union and are approved for both a saving and checking account, then I'll suggest you give them the following information about the most serious credit unions in the nation, who are about preventing and even rescuiing its members with no established credit history from the payday loan debt trap before thier credit become damaged.

Northside Community Cedit Union in Chicago, IL.

You seriously need to go to your bank and tell them what's going on. Close your account and re-open another at the same bank if possible. Ask that the new acct not be linked to the old. Even though many of the companies you borrowed from are illegal, they can still continue to attack your account for payment time after time, completely draining you dry. Make payments to the lender's that are willing to extend a repayment plan and screw the others like they've screwed you.

This thread is 9 months old, why are you replying to such an old thread? Whoever posted this most likely has a grip on their situation by now.
