Payday Loan Help PA

I am from PA where payday loans are illegal, my situation has improved and I have been able to pay off 2 payday loans.
I have two from plain green in which I am owed a refund (these are paid in full) of several hundred dollars. I have sent the letters and will soon file complaints with the federal trade commission, attorney general, and BBB if they do not respond for my request for a refund. Has anyone gotten refunds from plain green before? Do I have a chance at getting a refund here?
I also have another one from Discount Advances aka PayDayMax, I have the money to pay them, although things may be tight for me if I do so. I don't want to close my bank account and get harassing calls, so I think I am going to pay them and then ask for a refund afterwards. Has anyone gotten refunds from PayDayMax or Discount Advances?
This forum has been a huge help, anyone with experience with PayDayMax/DiscountAdvances and Plain Green please chime in here. I need to know if this is worth my time to go after them for a refund.

You are going to have a hard time getting refunds from illegal lenders. Why on earth would you voluntarily pay them? Close your bank account and cut your loses!
