I am basically being stalked by John Michaels at National Cash. He has been calling me and my BOSS at work, and leaving serveral messages on my cell phone. I would appreciate any advice. I doubt that National Cash is even a legitimate lender.

This is the last email that I received from "him":

You have allegedly defrauded National Cash. A prompt reply to this communication will demonstrate your intent to remedy the current violations of your contract with our company. If you do not respond within 24 hours of receipt of this email I will be forced to assume that your intentions were to commit fraud. We will begin by contacting your immediate Supervisor, next your family and friends, then move on to your coworkers, ultimately leading to either a payment plan on your own behalf or a wage garnishment. My future actions will be predicated upon your immediate response to this email.

Payment arrangements are expected upon receipt of this email. Our payment options have all been included as well. We accept Western Union and Moneygram. You can also use a credit card or debit card. Call Immediately to set up payment arrangements.

Yes - I believe it was from Payday One. This was a loan from a few years ago. I supposedly owe them $540 now. There is no way that I can pay this back with my overtime at work cut.

I don't understand why they are contacting me NOW. I take full responsibility for the loan, I just can not deal with these calls anymore.

Any advise is much appreciated.

Thank you!

I see I'm not the only one going thru this with Mr. Michaels. He's doing the exact same thing to me. He just called my boss for the 3rd time and she is contacting our legal department in HR. This is embarrassing and he does it even though you intend to pay him.

We all need to file complaints about this company. They think they are untouchable and that they can harass people. Well sh** happens and sometimes you fall a little short. It doesn't mean we are bad people that deserve this type of treatment.

He just left me a message saying that I am going to be punished by god for not paying my bills? He went on and threatened to call my boss..and that he did not care if I got fired.

Please everyone go and file a complaint and let them know this is not acceptable means to collect a debt.

go to the Federal Trade Commision and file a complaint against this company. I did already.

Also, go to your State Department of Financial Institutions website and check to see if this company is licensed in your state. If not, this may be an illegal loan to begin with that they cannot collect on.

Been there done that. This guy is in voilation of so many FDCPA guidelines it's simply rediculious. The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act clearly states it's illegal for a collector to contact your POE once you have either sent them a ceast and desist letter or verbally advised them not to contact your POE. Mr. Michaels also voilates our collection laws by divuldging you personal information to third partys either personally or on their voice mail. If we all ban together we could get a classaction suite against Mr. Michaels and his company. Winning would be a slam dunk. Just make sure you and you peers document and save his crazy messages.

if you get the BBB and the FTC and AG after him... he will stop calling you.. WE left a message on his at work answering machine that we had contacted these people. the BBB told him he had 14 days to reply to their message... on day 10 He left a message our our machine that he would no longer be calling because we had "gone over our collection time" which is BS because there is no such thing. he was just running from the BBB now.. everyone needs to call !!! He is getting scard now...

It appears many people along with myself have been harassed and unfairly treated by John Michaels and his company. I found the following address:

Cash Advance
269 Adams Drive
Honolulu Hawaii
United States 96822
cash@cash-advance.us
+1.7099222396

Good luck in contacting him and this company. I'm tired of them!!! I know I owe them some money but the more rude he is the less chance of them collecting...

I used to receive calls from Mr. Edwards, too. Ask him for a statement of what you owe, and you would be more than willing to set up a payment arrangement. He was supposed to e-mail me a statement, and never did - because it doesn't exist!@!!!!!

he eventually stops calling.
