I got a call from a bottom feeder for I think they said National Payday. (I overpaid & closed account, sent letters, etc. ) The number is 201-234-4071. It is unlisted # in Jersey City , NJ. Was foriegn voice, get my attorney, yada, yada, the whole predictable routine. Thanks


First of all payday loans are not legal in NJ and so they will not sue you. Now, through Google search I found that the number 201-234-4071 is from a lawyer calling on behalf of National Payday. Since you have paid and closed your account, you need not worry about their call. However, you should cancel the ACH authorization for the PDL, by visiting your bank if you have not done so till now.

sometimes the phone# connected to the search leads to other sites like ripoff report.i trust SC'S info,but i would check to see if this lawyer is even licensed to practice or collect in NJ.i bet they aren't.

when I tried reverse number search, it came up unlisted. I live in va., so all internet PDL's are illegal. Through fees and rollovers, I more than paid them back. I sent letters stating laws, etc, consider me PIF. I closed my account first. It sounded like a boiler room in Shanghai!!!! I told them I would be happy to meet them in court in Va. They have'nt called back today. I am just going to ignore them.
