Can someone please help me and tell me how to go about getting rid of these PDLs? I have already closed one of my bank accounts and plan to close the other before my next payday. I am trying decide if I should go through Langehorne or do it myself. Thanks.

Speedy Payday - 300.00, have paid at least $630.00
Paragon - 400.00, have paid at least $840.00
United Cash Loans - 400.00, paid off and then reloaned again, since new loan I have paid $120.00
ameriloan - 400.00, paid off and then reloaned again, since new loan I have paid $120.00
Cash Transfer Centers - 1200.00, paid at least $2,076 but it is more than that
National Cash Loans - 300.00, haven't started paying back yet
Magnum Cash Advance - 1200.00, haven't started paying back yet

I took out a Payday loan with US Fast Cash for $300.00. I have so far paid them $340.00. They are saying I owe $135.00 more because I revoked their debits from my bank and they are charging me for the "bounced checks." They will not stop calling my JOB! Yes my JOB. I have informed them that I work for a government agency and we are not allowed to take personal calls at work. Brian (representative) laughed and said we will call you whenever and whereever we want until we get our money. Did I mention they tried to take an unauthorized payment in that amount by using a fake name causing an overdraft. I called my bank and they reversed the amount. I have recorded the conversation where I have requested for them to not contact my job anymore. What can I do and how do I get them to stop calling before I get in trouble. Can I sue them for harassing me? They call like 4 -5 times a day at my job.

I believe I was told none of my loans are legal since pdls are illegal in North Carolina. I am really thinking of changing my number so that I won't have to answer it.

That is correct, Payday loans are prohibited in N.C. Keep in mind that Small Loans are legal. And yes, if I were you, I would definitely change my phone number.
Recap of N.C. laws:
You will find the Payday loan laws North Carolina here (just select your state),

If you are from N.C. as your member name indicates, as you know, pdl's are prohibited there. What can you do about stopping them from calling your place of employment? You might try faxing them AND sending them a cease and desist letter, I'm not sure that will stop them though. You also need to file out a complaint with your Attorney General's office, and inform them in the letter you send that you have done so. They have broken the law by lending to a N.C. resident, use everything you can think of to scare the crap out of them! Here are some addresses I located for them:
USFastcash
