I got a call last week from a John McNeil, from a company called NCW. He said he was calling for a payday loan that I took out from Payday-Loan Yes. I only borrowed $350 and now he is saying that I owe $1350 because of interest and fees. I told him to send me a letter because I wasn't comfortable about providing personal information over the phone. He said he wouldn't send anything until I paid it off. He called me at work today, I told him I am not allowed personal calls and I'm not discussing this at my desk. He told me if I didn't settle this right now, this is going to the Distric Attorney for passing a bad check. I told him I didn't care what he did and hung up with him. I told my HR dept not to give any information to these collection companies. She told me she let me know if she heard from anyone.

I live in Ohio, can they really charge me with passing a bad check? I thought they could only garnish your paycheck. Because, I got the same call from John Ceaser at IAG for Payday 1. I moved since I defaulted on these loans, plus I don't have the email address that I used. I did put in a change of address at the Post Office. I haven't receive any written documents by mail or email. They both told me they don't have to send anything. I wasn't able to make any payments on them because I had 2 other loans I was trying to pay on. I know Payday-Loan-Yes is illegal and Payday 1 is legal. At this point I don't know where to start. Now,I just got a call Ann Reid claiming if I don't take care of this in 4 hrs, they will come to my home or work to serve me with court documents.
